Jun302011 is the new name of Over the past couple of years I have been doing a lot of videos, and post on technology, and things that deal with technology. However in doing so this has kept me very limited in what I want to share with an online community. When I switched my twitter handle from @tecnicle to @retrogamergeek I realized how much more appeal it had over tecnicle. Not to mention the fact that RetroGamerGeek sounds like it has had a lot more thought process going into it that the Kindergarten looking Tecnicle.

Going Uncensored

Lately I have been rethinking my whole site and what I want it to represent. Yes I love technology, but in all honesty I am tired of censoring myself on video and in site. In order for me to actually post something great, I need to be able to put my full self into what I’m creating. Now I did that in the Sega DreamCast VMU post, but the video was seriously lacking because it was made at an earlier date.

As a geek my place is usually sitting at my computer, or so you think. I actually spend less time online and more time outside. Yes outdoors, to be out of the house in other words. Well at least the outdoors is a social network that will never be offline, and that I will always have access to. The fresh air, the wildlife, the birds and the bees, well you get what I mean.

Sega Dreamcast Visual Memory Unit

9/9/99 that’s all I’ve got to say for those of you who know gaming. For that was the day Sega released one of the greatest consoles of all time, the Sega Dreamcast baby, oh yeah! However that’s not what this post is about, this post is about another little gizmo for that awesome system called the Visual Memory Unit. Think of it as a memory card fused with those old Nano Puppy things.
